Veteran Navy pilot Steve McKenna grew up in rural Michigan and attended Georgia Tech University through a work-study program. McKenna discusses his decision to attend Navy Officer Training School, after college, to become an aircraft carrier pilot. McKenna shares his experiences of flying Hawkeye early warning aircraft and landing the Hawkeye on the carrier’s short runway.
