Jim Quinn grew up in Chadron, Nebraska and was a child of the Depression. Quinn enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He discusses pilot training and notes the diversity of those in pilot training and the high quality of the men he served with. Quinn shares the story of his friend Dean Fredricks who died serving as a pilot during the Korean War.
