December 1947 Milton Goldstein was just seventeen years old. Goldstein wanted to join the United States Marine Corps but his mother would not sign the permission slip because she wanted him to go to college. When Goldstein turned eighteen, he enlisted in the Marines, much to his mother’s chagrin. In 1949 Goldstein was sent to China to pick up military gear. Milton Goldstein shares stories from his military service during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
