The Battle of New Orleans was fought on January 8, 1815 at the end of the War of 1812. Col. Bill Rutledge (Ret. USAF) explains that the Battle of New Orleans was the single most important military victory on American soil. He notes that General Andrew Jackson was the right man at the right time to save our national future.
