We think we have it tough? Sunday I’ll talk with my Aunt Irma who grew up during the Depression, the dirty thirties in western Kansas and then WWII. She’ll talk about the hundreds of letters that she and my uncle sent during their long distance courtship. Aunt Irma will share about working for the rationing board which rationed sugar, coffee and shoes among other things. Irma shares a stateside perspective that we seldom hear.
