Perils and Pearls. In 1942, Hulda Bachman-Neeb was a three year old child living in the Dutch East Indies, Indonesia, when she, her 25 year old mother and 7 month old brother were captured by the Japanese and imprisoned in a Japanese concentration camp for three and a half years.
