He explains that during the North Vietnamese Tet Offensive, his base city of Chau Doc was overrun. Realizing a U.S. nurse was in danger, Dix and his men went and got Maggie. Major Dix is a co-founder of the Center for American Values located in Pueblo which honors the extreme sacrifices made to help sustain America’s values.
